"Arte Solidario"
Until 22 May 2005
23 Spanish contemporary artists joined forces for this commemoration of the 2004 Madrid train bombings. Rafael Canogar captured the spirit of the exhibition, calling it "an open wound a memorial to the atrocity and the wrongful aggression". The works on display include a collection of photographs by Francesc Torres ("El otro lado de la imagen" "The other side of the picture"), a sculpture by Alberto Corazn ("Para no olvidar" "Lest we forget"), and a mosaic of 10,000 photos by Joseph Guinovart and Joan Fontcuberta ("La utopa puede ser una realidad" "Utopia can be a reality"). Admission is free.
