Laurentino district
The area takes its name from the Via Laurentino which runs south from the modern district of EUR. There are residential buildings with large apartments, often with gardens. There are also public parks and the whole area has a modern feel. There are a good supermarkets and smaller shops.
The underground link on line B runs into the historic centre and buses go to all parts of the city from the Laurentina bus station. The problems start further down in the area known as Laurentino 38; here poor quality high-rise apartment block together with a lack of adequate social services and facilities make this one of the problems areas of the city.
