Monte Sacro
Situated at the end of Via Nomentana, Montesacro is one of the garden suburbs of Rome, built in the 1930s along the lines of a British garden suburb. It is close to the Raccordo Anulare (the ring road) and it takes a long time to get from here to the centre of town, even though it seems strategically placed along the Via Nomentana. There are some parks and open-air markets. A good place for night-life here is the social centre Brancaleone, which often has young and trendy concerts with international musicians.
