John Durkin last seen in Campo de' Fiori

A 21-year-old American student went missing in Rome on the night between 19 and 20 February.

John Durkin is a student of Bates College in Maine but is enrolled in a study-abroad programme in Rome through Trinity College in Connecticut.

He was last seen at around 01.30 in the early hours of 20 February at a Campo de' Fiori bar popular with Rome-based American students.

Family members and college authorites are working with Italian police and the US embassy to find Durkin who has been in Rome for just over a month.
