20 November sees the beginning of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Anglican Centre in Rome. Celebratory events include the re-launching of the library on 20 November following its recent expansion (1,000 new volumes added, taking the total to 14,000). Then on 24 November at 16.30 there will be a service of thanksgiving in S. Maria sopra Minerva with the archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and the Roman Catholic archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-OConnor. The programme will end on 26 November with a Eucharist for Anglicans from all over Italy at 15.00 at S. Sabina on the Aventine hill, led by the archbishop of Canterbury.
