Second case in a week of ATAC minibus bursting into flames.
An investigation is underway after one of Rome's electric minibuses caught fire while in service, in the second such case in six days.
The latest incident took place on Via del Corso, Rome's main thoroughfare, at around 07.30 on Wednesday 29 May.
ATAC, the city's public transport company, said it is not sure about the circumstances of the fire which was put out by the bus driver after he evacuated the passengers.
The 119 electric minibus route, serving the narrow streets of the historic centre, was reintroduced with much fanfare a couple of weeks ago.
