ANZAC and Liberation Day.
Australians and New Zealanders in Rome will commemorate the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) at Gallipoli in Turkey in 1915, on ANZAC Day, Sunday 25 April. A memorial service honouring the countries' war dead will take place at the Rome War Cemetary, Via N. Zabaglia (near Piramide) at 09.00
Sunday 25 April is also Liberation Day in Italy, this year is the 59th anniversary of the liberation of Italy from Nazi occupation.
