The volunteers of the Bunker Soratte association have organised a new round of guided tours under the title “Apokalypse 2012”, exploring  fascinating bunkers deep in the heart of the mountain which rears up alone in the surounding plain, some 40 km north of Rome.

Wanted in Rome explained some of the history of these bunkers in our previous article.  More details of the volunteer association, plus contact details for booking a place on one of the tours, are available on the Bunker Soratte website and on their Facebook page.
The booking fee of €5 goes entirely to the upkeep of the bunker, making the visiting areas safe and exploring further areas with a view to opening them to the public.

Tours will take place on Friday 21 December from 18.00 to 19.30, followed by “an apocalyptic film”,  and on Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 16.00.
