Over the course of the next ten days the public will have the chance to attend the Close Encounters public talks with stars such as Cate Blanchett, Martin Scorsese, Sigourney Weaver, Isabelle Huppert, Michael Moore, Jonathan Safran Foer and Giuseppe Tornatore.
The 2018 edition features 60 features, including 34 premieres, as well as multiple special events including retrospectives for Peter Sellers and Maurice Pialat and cinema-related photography exhibitions.
A highlight of the festival will be the world premiere of The Girl in the Spider’s Web, to be attended by the cast including star Claire Foy, known for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series The Crown.
