Rome residents who give blood up to 15 October will have free entry for two to the city's museums, as part of a drive to increase the city hospitals' blood supply.
All of Rome's civic musems are participating, with the exception of the Planetarium and Museo della Civiltà Romana.
The initiative is part of the city's annual summer campaign to encourage people to give blood at a time of year when donations decrease significantly.
