Buffalo on the ring road.
There were scenes from the Far West on Romes ring road at the end of November when a young buffalo escaped onto one of the citys busiest thoroughfares from a nearby farm. The animal, frightened by the traffic, galloped about alarming motorists, many of whom stressed that they had not been drinking when they rang the traffic police to report the incident. The police managed to catch the animal and return it to its owner, who will now be charged with allowing an animal to endanger public safety.
