Business as usual on Rome’s Metro A Line
Rome's Metro A reopened as of 05.30 on Monday 29 August, one day ahead of schedule. The line had been partially closed from 30 July when major construction works began to facilitate the new C line station at S. Giovanni, below the present A line station. .
However the evening closure of the A Line metro remains unchanged. From Sunday to Friday at 21.00 the metro service is replaced by bus lines MA1 (Battistini - Arco di Travertino) and MA2 (Flaminio - Anagnina). On Saturday evening the line is open until 01.30.
Rome's agency for mobility said that from 29 August the city's public transport service will gradually resume normal schedules, after the reduced summer times. All services will be fully operational by mid-September for the reopening of schools.
