Candidates for foreign councillors
So far 89 immigrants have registered as candidates for the elections to Rome's city and municipal councils. Potential candidates have until 29 February to present their papers. The election takes place on Sunday 28 March and there will be 36 voting stations throughout the city. The election is for four non-voting places on the Rome city council (one from Africa, one from the Americas, one from Asia/Oceania and one from European countries outside the European Union) plus one non-voting representative on each municipal council.
