Car sales increase.
There was a sharp increase in the number of cars sold in Italy in November 2006 according to the ministry of transport figures. In November this year sales of cars totalled 190,460 compared with 179,411 during the same month last year, an increase of 6.2 per cent. The Fiat groups position has improved within these sales figures, rising from 29.9 per cent of total sales in November 2005 to 31.1 per cent of total sales in November 2006.
