Rome Christmas lights ceremony celebrated with concert at Spanish Steps.
The popular Cartoon Christmas Lights return to Via dei Condotti, Rome's exclusive shopping street, for the second year in a row, for the duration of upcoming Christmas season.
The initiative is a collaboration between the kids TV channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang and the Via Condotti Association.
The lights are inspired by cartoon characters such as Tom & Jerry, Lo Straordinario Mondo di Gumball, Adventure Time, Titti e Silvestro, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, The Happos Family and Scooby- Doo.
The Cartoon Christmas Lights will be illuminated at 17.30 on Saturday 23 November at Largo Goldoni, where Via dei Condotti meets Rome's main thoroughfare Via del Corso.
The festive event will be celebrated with a traditional parade of the Carabinieri Police Band which will make its way from Largo Goldoni along Via dei Condotti up to the Spanish Steps where it will perform various classical favourites.
