Christmas shopping in Rome’s city centre
Rome has outlined three free shuttle routes designed to take people into the city centre for their Christmas shopping and new year sales. The specially designated routes are being operated from 8-24 December and 2-30 January and run in addition to a more frequent subway service at weekends.
During the weekends there will be an extensive pedestrian area between Largo Arenula and Piazza del Popolo.
To discourage traffic congestion all private cars whose drivers are not in possession of residents
