Cost estimates to Carnival Corporation of Costa Concordia wreck
In a statement on the financial aspects of the shipwreck of the Costa Concordia off the coast of Giglio on 13 January, owners Carnival Corporation and Plc put out a statement on 16 January with the following information about insurance.
The company has insurance coverage for damage to the vessel with a deductible of approximately $30 million. It also has insurance for third party personal injury liability subject to an added deductible of $10 million.
