Police apprehend illegal "centurions" in Piazza del Popolo area.
Rome police have fined two men €400 each for dressing as centurions and charging tourists for photographs — a practice banned recently by the capital's mayor Virginia Raggi.
The two Italian men were caught in the act of seeking money from passersby in the Pincio area near Piazza del Popolo on 19 February.
In addition to fining the "centurions", police confiscated their costumes.
