Director Dino Risi dies.
The Italian director Dino Risi, whose films included Profumo di Donna (1974, Scent of a Woman) and Il Sorpasso (1962, The Easy Life), has died in Rome aged 91.
Along with Mario Monicelli, Risi was one of the last surviving directors from the heyday of Italian cinema in the 1960s. Risi was born in Milan in 1916 and studied medicine before switching to cinema. A prolific film-maker with over 50 films under his belt
