Anyone over 18 not in possession of a normal driving licence who drives a low-powered motor vehicle (motorcycle, tricycle, quad or one of the low-powered mini cars) must now obtain a licence to do so. The licence may be obtained by paying 40, presenting a medical certificate and following a 12-hour course at a recognised driving school, which costs about 200.
