Earth Day in Rome
Rome highlights the environment with Earth Day 2019 in Villa Borghese.
Rome marks the 2019 edition of Earth Day with five days of events on the theme of the environment and sustainability at the Galoppatoio area of Villa Borghese, from 25-29 April.
The programme of events features exhibitions, workshops, live music, sporting and children’s activities.
The festival is preceded by the Concerto per la Terra, a free concert headlined by Carmen Consoli, taking place in the Pincio area of Villa Borghese from 19.00 on 22 April.
Earth Day was founded by US senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 and is celebrated in more than 190 countries worldwide on 22 April each year.
