A flight operated by the “Wizz” airline company, arriving from Bucharest with about 160 passengers on board, made an emergency landing this morning at Fiumicino Airport in Rome due to a problem with the left landing gear, which did not open.
The flight was meant to land at Ciampino, Rome’s second airport, but the Captain, after having discovered the problem with the landing gear, asked authorities permission to land at Rome’s Fiumicino airport as this latter is better equipped for emergencies of this kind.
At present time only three passengers are reported to be slightly injured.
