Weekend of special cultural events in Rome.
Italy hosts a nationwide programme of cultural events to mark the 2019 edition of European Heritage Days which is held in Rome and across Europe on the weekend of 21-22 September.Under the theme "Un due tre... Arte! - Cultura e intrattenimento”, the two-day initiative will include a programme of special happenings at many of Rome’s museums, galleries, libraries, cultural academies and archaeological sites, with some museums staying open late on 21 September with an entry fee of just €1.
Rome venues participating in Giornate Europee del Patrimonio include Galleria Spada, Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna, Centrale Montemartini, Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Casina delle Civette, Ostia Antica, Villa Ada Savoia, Keats-Shelley House, Casa di Goethe, Giorgio de Chirico house museum, as well as Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este in Tivoli.
Held annually across Europe since 1991, the European Days of Patrimony initiative is designed to emphasise the common cultural heritage shared between Europeans.
