Mayors of Europe's capital cities hold meeting in Rome
The mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino will welcome his counterparts from Europe's capital cities to a meeting in Rome on 1 October.
Titled For the Development of a European Urban Agenda the event takes place within the context of Italy's presidency of the Council of the European Union, and topics up for discussion will include mobility, social cohesion and immigration.
Rome decribes the initiative as “an important opportunity for dialogue on the role of European cities – and capitals in particular – through the creation of a shared urban programme, essential for cohesion between EU member states and to support an ever-stronger Europe."
Following a request from Marino, all visiting mayors will receive a copy of The Expat Guide to Rome and its well-kept secrets, published by Wanted in Rome.
