Extradition upheld.
Hussain Osman, also known as Hamdi Issac, one of the suspects in the failed bomb attacks on the London underground on 21 July who was arrested in Rome on 29 July, has lost his appeal in the Italian courts against extradition to the United Kingdom. Osman is expected to be returned to the UK within the next ten days. The suspected terrorist was arrested in Rome on a new European arrest warrant and the appeal to the courts has been seen as a test case for the new system which is aimed at speeding up extradition within the European Union..
