First of four special tours by FAI over the winter
Volunteers from FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) are conducting free guided tours of the archeological remains at Largo di Torre Argentina on Saturday 25 October from 10.00-16.00 (last entry 15.30).
This is the first of four special meetings, all free of charge, organised in Rome between October and March.
The Cosa FAI oggi? tour is part of a series designed to highlight lesser-known archaeological sites in Rome and is the result of collaboration between FAI and the city's cultural authorities.
The next appointment is on Saturday 15 November at the Tempio delle Botteghe Oscure.
Similar to Britain’s National Trust, FAI works to preserve and promote Italy’s cultural heritage through education, restoration and annual open days, known in particular for its hugely popular Spring Day.
