Festival offers feast of films.
The United States, Britain, Holland, Finland and Spain are among 24 nations contributing to the second international "Rome art documentary festival" a platform for films and documentaries.
Productions this year include a portrayal of Harry Geldzahler, former curator of modern art at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, by prolific American director Peter Rosen, and a documentary on the acclaimed British artist and writer Tom Phillips Ra. Also included is a Dutch production on Vincent Van Gogh and a Finnish film on ten of the nations architects.
An international jury will judge 78 films, in categories of art, artists, architecture and new languages; more than 200 productions will be screened.
The festival will be in Palazzo Venezia and other venues across the city from 28 May to 5 June. More information is available at www.docfest.it.
