Free travel pass for over 70s.
Rome residents over 70 years old who have previously registered with city transport company ATAC should receive their free public transport pass in the post by 18 January. Around 82,000 passes are being issued this year, giving the elderly free access to buses, trams, metro and the local train services Rome-Lido, Rome-Pantano and Rome-Viterbo. The pass does not include travel on regional trains or Cotral buses.
If the pass fails to arrive by 18 January, over 70s should call the city council on tel. 060606 or Atac on tel. 0657003.
