Rome monument vandalised yet again.
A traffic warden from the south of France has become the latest tourist arrested for defacing Rome's recently-restored Colosseum.
The 46-year-old French tourist, who was caught carving "Sabrina 2017" into a pillar near an entrance to the ancient amphitheatre, was visiting Rome with her daughter and grandchildren.
This latest incident of vandalism at the Colosseum comes weeks after the monument was spray-painted on the same night that two drunk Brazilian tourists were injured after scaling the perimeter fence.
In late 2014 a 42-year old Russian tourist was fined €20,000 after carving a large letter “K” on a wall inside the monument.
