From St Petersburg to Mantova.
A partnership agreement has been reached between the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg and the Palazzo Te Museum in Mantova. The Palazzo Te was built in by Giulio Romano in the 16th century for the ruling Gonzaga family as a pleasure palace and a place where it could display its magnificent artistic collection. The partnership will include loans, a scientific collaboration between the two museums and the realisation of an exhibition of Russian works of art at the Palazzo Te once every two years.
