To celebrate the opening of his new boutique on Via Condotti, legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is throwing a "One Night Only Roma" party on Wednesday 5 June in the Palazzo della Civiltà in Rome's EUR district.
Armani will be joined by 700 invited guests, including a host of other celebrities such as actress Sofia Loren, singer Tina Turner and film director Giuseppe Tornatore.
During the party, the highlights of the fashion house's last six collections from its three lines Privé, Giorgio Armani and Emporio will be paraded on the catwalk by up to 100 models.
The event will be streamed live on the bespoke "pop-up" website which will feature exclusive video interviews, previews and backstage footage before all content is removed from the internet on 13 June. The evening also coincides with the launch of "Eccentrico", an exhibition of 62 dresses, 300 accessories from the Armani collections, from 1985 to the present day, including eccentric outfits worn by avant-garde American recording artist Lady Gaga.
The three-day exhibition runs from 6-9 June in the Palazzo della Civiltà and can be visited from 11.00-21.00, finishing with a huge private party with 1,000 invited guests. In the past Armani has held similar "One Night Only" events in Beijing, London and Tokyo.
