Good news for Rome’s beaches
An extra eight km of coastline in the province of Rome have been deemed safe for swimmers this summer compared with last year. The areas affected range from Civitavecchia north of Rome to Nettuno in the south, while the coastline which recorded the most significant improvement was the area around the mouth of the river Arrone, between Fregene and Maccarese, as well as the beach at Ladispoli. Now swimming is banned along only 20 kms of Lazio
