Green area plans for Rome's cultural complex in Flaminio zone
Italian architect Renzo Piano is behind a plan for a 55,000 sqm green zone in the Flaminio-Parioli area of north Rome between Parco della Musica Auditorium, designed by Piano, and the national museum for 21st-century art and architecture, MAXXI, designed by Zaha Hadid.
The project, which is being presented to the city on 22 February 2011, involves the planting of 2,000 trees and the construction of a footbridge from Viale Coubertin to the Auditorium. Stretching from Villa Glori to the Tiber, the green area will include two of Rome
