Nightlife in Trastevere has exasperated neighborhood residents who are calling for intervention from city authorities in the most offbeat of ways. The Vivere Trastevere Committee, lead by long time Trasteverina Dina Nascetti, has distributed over 250 linens bearing colourful slogans demanding attention from local authorities. The linens are written in Roman dialect and many appeal to Mayor Veltroni himself.

Specifically, residents are asking for a special neighbourhood ordinance similar to the one in force in Esquilino, which would prevent new venues from opening for at least two years, involve a greater police presence in the area and force bars and clubs to respect closing hours.
