Health for pensioners.
A special initiative open free for all Roman residents over the age of 65 is beginning at the Bioparco ( the Roman zoo in the Villa Borghese) from 1016 May. Promoted by the city council and supported by the Italian association of oncologists for the elderly, the daily meetings will be dedicated to health and the quality of life for those of pensionable age. There will be lessons on diet and preparing healthy food, exercise and how to help prevent cancer as well as the possibility of having a free simple medical check up. On a lighter note there will be as dancing , singing and acting classes and free supply of daily papers.
Open from 09.30 -17.00, entrance is free to the over 65s and to anyone accompanying them. For more information telephone the Rome city call centre 060606.
