Painting to be shown near the Pantheon
A watercolour by Adolf Hitler will be displayed at an art gallery near the Pantheon in Rome on 18 July.
The work on paper will be shown during a press conference at the Galleria d’Arte La Pigna, Unione Cattolici Artisti Italiani (UCAI), on Via della Pigna 13/A at 17.30.
The signed watercolour by the Führer will be exhibited in Rome during the autumn, at a venue yet to be defined, along with an installation by Roman artist Wright Grimani.
The little-known painting of a street scene belongs to a private collection and was painted by Hitler during his early days when he tried, and failed, to gain admittance to the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
