Wednesday Cinema2Day initiative extended until May.
The nationwide Cinema2Day initiative, which involves paying just €2 for cinema tickets on every second Wednesday of the month, has been extended until May by Italy's culture minister Dario Franceschini.
The €2 ticket price applies to films showing in the more than 3,000 cinemas across Italy, with the exception of 3-D movies which will nonetheless be screened at a reduced price.
Launched in September, the popular initiative follows collaboration between producers, distributors and cinemas. The next dates are 8 March, 12 April and 10 May.
