Italian journalists protest against phone-tapping restrictions
On 1 July journalists across the country will be staging protests against government plans to limit the use of phone taps in criminal investigations and clamp down on newspapers and broadcasters that publish them.
In Rome there will be a demonstration starting at 17.00 in Piazza Navona, where participants will be addressed by the eminent Italian jurist Stefano Rodot
