Italy opens up to liberalization
The government has given the green light to a new package of liberalisation laws masterminded by minister for economic development Pierluigi Bersani. The new laws are principally aimed at promoting competition in Italian industry but will also result in increased transparency for consumers. Among the changes are proposals to allow the cancellation of all contracts signed with telephone, television or internet companies with 30 days
