Skunk Anansie to perform at free Primo Maggio concert in Rome.
On 1 May every year Italy dedicates a public holiday to its workers, with a large, free concert taking place in Rome's Piazza S. Giovanni in Laterano to celebrate the Festa dei Lavoratori.
The May Day concert will lead to numerous bus detours and road closures in the S. Giovanni area from 05.30 on 1 May.
The concertone, organised annually by the main Italian trades unions, begins at 15.00 and runs until around midnight. Now in its 26th year, the 2016 concert has a diverse line-up including Skunk Anansie, Tiromancino, Max Gazzè, Asian Dub Foundation, Marlene Kuntz, Miele, and the Modena City Ramblers.
For full concert line-up see Primo Maggio website while for traffic updates including diverted bus routes see Muoversi a Roma website.
