Large shark caught off Anzio.
A cow shark measuring 5 and a half metres was caught off the Lazio coast on 1 September, according to national daily Corriere della Sera. Fishing boat the Augusto Padre II discovered the large shark in its nets some 64 kilometres off the coast of Anzio, with the island of Ponza on the horizon. Although the catch was made in deep water, the fishermen were surprised at the size of the fish. Cow sharks
