Thursday 31 March will be the 12th and final Thursday of restricted traffic in the city. Vehicles with licence plates ending with an odd number will not be allowed to circulate in the "fascia verde" the green zone between 09.00 -12.00 and 15.00 - 19.00. All vehicles that run on methane, GPL and electricity, and the most-recent models, classified as Euro 4, are allowed to circulate freely.

With pollution levels running at the legal limits and high ozone levels, unusually early in the year, the city authorities are having to think hard about what they are going to do next in their battle for cleaner air.
