Local transport strike.
There will be national strike of local public transport in Italy on Friday 28 April. In Rome and Lazio the strike will begin at 8.30 and end at 16.30 and there will be no buses, trams, metro trains or local trains to Ostia Lido, Pantano and Viterbo. The striking transport workers are all members of one of the three major Italian trades unions, CGIL, Csil, and UIL and they are striking to press for the renewal of their employment contracts which expired in January of this year.
