Stations between Ottaviano and Termini on Rome's Metro A will be closed from 11-25 August for upgrading works on the tracks. The stations affected are Repubblica, Barberini, Spagna, Flaminio and Lepanto.
A substitute bus – the MA5 – will depart from Viale Giulio Cesare beside the Ottaviano stop, and from Piazza dei Cinquecento in front of Termini station.
From 11-25 August, Metro A commuters can use the same ticket (within 100 minutes) from the first part of their metro journey, on the MA5 bus, and on the second leg of their Metro A journey.
At the beginning and end of the works – Friday 10 August and Saturday 25 August – the Metro A will close at 23.30, with the MA5 bus running until the metro's normal weekend closing time of 01.30.
For the duration of the works, the Metro A service will continue to run as normal from Battistini to Ottaviano and from Termini to Anagnina.
Full service on the Metro A resumes on 26 August at 05.30.
