Metro map of Rome's police stations

Valentine's Day map aims to help victims of domestic violence.

A new map showing Rome's police stations in their proximity to the capital’s metro stations has been released on Valentine's Day by the website Giulia sotto la metro, to encourage women victims of domestic violence to report their abusive partners.

Titled Se l'Amore fa male, ora sai dove scendere (If Love hurts, now you know where to get off), the map and accompanying video has been produced in collaboration with the Italian state police and the Scuola Internazionale di Teatro all’Improvviso (SITI).

The initiative is the work of MariaBeatrice Alonzi and Giulia Soi who are the driving force behind Giulia sotto la metro, a website containing stories and photographs relating to Rome’s metro network.

The subway-style map is the latest in a series created by Giulia sotto la metro, and follows similar maps showing Rome's museums and theatres.

For more details see Giulia sotto la metro Facebook page and the upcoming March issue of Wanted in Rome.
