More for music.
Figures released by the Society for the Performing Arts show that more than three and a half million people attended concerts in Rome in 2004, an increase of 140 per cent on 2003. The increase is attributed in part to several free concerts held during the year, including the Glocal Forum event in May, a Simon and Garfunkel concert in July and the MTV music awards in November. The new facilities at the Auditorium Parco della Musica are also attracting more concert-goers.
