Commuters in Rome face yet another public transport strike on Tuesday 1 October.
The 24-hour strike has been called by trade union SUL, on behalf of employees of Rome public tranpsort ATAC, and affects local and regional transport in and around the capital.
The strike follows the usual timetable: from 08.30 to 17.00 and from 20.00 to end of service, affecting Rome's buses, trams, metro and light rail services Roma-Lido, Roma-Giardinetti and Roma-Civitacastellana-Viterbo.
Employees of suburban bus company Roma Tpl are planning to engage in a separate four-hour action on Monday 7 October from 08.30-12.30.
The strike has been scheduled by the Lazio branch of trade union Fit-CISL, over alleged non-payment of obligatory contributions to the employees' pension fund.
