National culture week.
The eleventh edition of National Culture Week (Settimana della Cultura) gets underway from 18-26 April during which all of the country' state-run museums, galleries and archaeological sites are open to the public for free. Over 200 guided tours, lectures, conferences and concerts have been planned in and around the capital. Tours include Rome's most famous attractions in addition to some lesser known itineraries, such a visit to the Stadium of Domitian underneath modern-day Piazza Navona.
