The Vatican website (www.vatican.va) now includes a new on-site guide to its museums. On-line since the summer, the new section offers useful information such as entrance times and ticket prices but also a virtual tour of all the main museums, such as the Gregorian Egyptian, Gregorian Etruscan, Sistine Chapel, Raphael's rooms and Pinacoteca. There are also future plans to open an on-line souvenir shop and booking office for the museums' 3 million visitors a year. The site's information and images are indispensable for those who want to browse the lesser-known treasures, or visit the famous museums from anywhere in the world.
