New station opens.
A new station on the Roma Ostiense Cesano Viterbo railway line (Fr 3) has opened in the Viale Quattro Venti in Monteverde, a few days ahead of the scheduled opening. The station is an important step in Rome councils of joining as many residential suburbs as possible to the existing rail network, as part of an ambitious long-term plan of a rail ring right round the city, which will consist of the Metro C, and eventually the Metro D (which will run under the Viale Trastevere), complementing the existing Metros A and B.
